The Early Days: Learning the "Right Way"
Our story begins in the late 1980s, where David Fowler, Jr. learned the construction trade as a teenager working alongside his father. It was during these formative years that David learned the foundational principles of the business: the value of old-school craftsmanship, the importance of a clean job site, and how to treat clients with absolute respect.

2001–2008: Setting the Standard in Fairfield County
In 2001, David took those foundational values and launched New England Coastal Remodeling. Operating in the highly competitive Fairfield and Westport markets, the company quickly grew into a trusted, well-known brand. Managing up to six full-time carpenters and multiple custom home and remodeling projects at once, David mastered the complex logistics of project management, subcontractor coordination, and efficient client communication.

2008–2024: A 15-Year Masterclass in Building Science
When the 2008 economic downturn severely impacted the residential market, David pivoted into Commercial Window Sales to support his young family. Over the next 15 years, his background as a builder allowed him to excel. He spent eight successful years with Pella Windows’ Commercial division before joining upstart European manufacturer INTUS Windows, helping build them into a premier brand in the high-performance commercial space. He later brought that specialized expertise to Alpen High Performance Products. This era provided David with a deep, corporate-level understanding of building science, energy efficiency, and large-scale project management.

2024–Present: The Birth of Fowler Building & Remodeling
In April 2024, with a thriving residential market and a desire to return to his true passion, David founded Fowler Building & Remodeling, LLC.

Today, we bring a completely unique blend of skills to Fairfield County homeowners: old-school carpentry values combined with modern, high-performance building expertise and corporate-grade communication. We love collaborating with the region's finest trade professionals to make homes bigger, warmer, more efficient, and more enjoyable—all while building a business that will serve our community for generations to come.
